About this website:

This site was created with the goal of providing resources to the Pittsburgh area's growing veg-community.  As PittsburghVegan.com is developed, the site will provide both general veg-related information, but more importantly, I aim for this site to become a general clearinghouse of information on local veg topics and outreach efforts.

PittsburghVegan.com is hosted by Dreamhost, and is powered by the Joomla CMS framework.

In time, I'll be opening this site to contributors, please email me if you're interested in helping.

About the founder:

I'm Kodiak Firesmith.  I've been vegan since 2004, and lived in Pittsburgh from 2005-2008.  I hope to come back in a year or two, but for now I live in Arlington Virginia.

As I read more about health science, environmental science, world food issues, and economics, I see that how we eat has implications more far-ranging than anything else we have individual control over.
